Speednet Group Update to Customers
As comfort to our customers we would like to provide the following information
Our Core service has been heavily invested in over the past few years and is more than capable
Of providing fast reliable services to our customers during this time.
If there is a temporary need for increased speed due to the current pandemic and people working from home please call 0800 012 4298 and we will be happy to provide increased speed on a monthly rolling contract.
This can be activated remotely within minutes we can also offer Voice over internet services if required.
We know our voice and data connections can be vital, whether they’re supporting people working from home or maintaining critical services. Our engineers visit homes and businesses every day to fix faults and provide new services. In order to make sure these visits can continue safely, we’re now taking some extra precautions.
Firstly, our engineers will only enter your property when it’s absolutely necessary to restore service. If we can fix your service without coming in – and we often can – then we will.
That said, if we do need to come inside, we’ll be taking some extra precautions, for example, asking you to stay in a different part of the house during the visit and cleaning surfaces.
On the day of the visit, our engineers will also call ahead and ask some simple questions:
- Has anyone in the premises been diagnosed with COVID-19, has been asked to self-isolate, or has been travelling to a corona virus high-risk area or country in the last 14 days?
- Is anyone in the premises suffering from flu-like symptoms?
A yes response to either of these questions doesn’t necessarily mean the visit won’t take place, but it means our engineers will need to take some further steps before stepping inside the premises, such as a risk assessment.
These measures will help to keep the visits safe for everyone.
